Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner have captured the doubles title of the Pfeiffer & May Tennis Open Karlsruhe. The top seeds of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 clay-court tournament defeated second-seeded Frenchmen Dan Added and Gregoire Jacq 6-4, 6-0 in Saturday’s final.

The Germans won 85 per cent of their first-service points and broke their rivals’ serve five times. Just as the rain started, it was game, set, and match for Schnaitter and Wallner after 51 minutes of play.

Both Schnaitter and Wallner are now in the Top 100 in the ATP Doubles live rankings. This week they made their 11th Challenger final of the season and picked up the fourth team title following their triumphs in Prague, Augsburg and Bratislava.

Schnaitter and Wallner split €4,250 in prize money and earned 75 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
