Doubles Gold Medallist John Peers Returns To Australia And Visits Daughters’ School

Tennis men’s doubles Olympic gold medallist John Peers has returned to Australia after competing at the US Open and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

John and Matt Ebden won the first gold medal in tennis in 28 years at the Games.

John visited his his daughters’ Ellie (7) and Harper (4)’s school, Our Lady of Grace in North Beach, Perth on Tuesday to share his Olympic experience. The school followed his journey from a far.

Ellie and Harper where lucky enough to be in Paris for the Olympic Games and shared the moment with John. 

Ellie was the centre of attention during the gold medal match, crossing her fingers in hope John and Matt would win the match 

This was John’s second Olympic medal. He won a bronze medal with Ash Barty in the tennis mixed doubles at Tokyo 2020. 

John also shared brand new tennis racquets with the school as part of Tennis Australia’s Hot Shots Racquet Roadshow, an initiative designed to encourage more children to play tennis.
