Gijs Brouwer has captured his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour by winning the Saint-Tropez Open. The 28-year-old Dutchman capped his dream run from the qualifying to the championship in Sunday’s singles final, beating No. 7 seed Lucas Pouille of France 6-4, 7-6(2).
Following two wins in the qualifying, Brouwer defeated third-seeded Frenchman Luca van Assche, Spanish youngster Martin Landaluce as well as home favourites Benjamin Bonzi, who claimed the crown here three years ago, and Ugo Blanchet en route to the final. Brouwer struck six aces and won 72 per cent of his first service points. He broke Pouille’s serve two times to seal victory in one hour and 33 minutes.

The fourth edition of the Saint-Tropez Open was held on the hard courts of the Tennis Club De Saint Tropez. The glamorous coastal town on the French Riviera is known for its stunning beaches, luxurious yachts, and vibrant nightlife. Once a quiet fishing village, it gained fame in the 1950s when it became a favorite spot for artists, celebrities, and jet-setters.
Its charming old town, with narrow cobblestone streets, pastel-colored houses, and lively markets, offers a contrast to its modern, upscale lifestyle. Popular attractions include the historic Citadel, Pampelonne Beach, and the lively harbor. Saint-Tropez is synonymous with sophistication, making it a top destination for luxury and relaxation.
