Briton Jacob Fearnley ended the run of Belgian teenager Alexander Blockx to reach the final of the Co’met Orleans Open. The No. 8 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 indoor hard-court event prevailed 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Fearnley sent down four aces and won 74 per cent of his first-service points. The World No. 126 broke Blockx’s serve four times to secure victory in one hour and 20 minutes.

In his third consecutive championship match on Sunday, Fearnley is seeking his fourth ATP Challenger Tour title of the season following his triumphs on home soil in Nottingham, Lincoln, United States, and the Open Blot Rennes in France.
The 23-year-old will take on Harold Mayot. The fourth-seeded Frenchman defeated Marc-Andrea Huesler of Switzerland 6-4, 6-3. Mayot won 55 per cent of the total points played to succeed in one hour and 20 minutes.
After two title wins on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the 22-year-old Metz native is bidding for his maiden trophy on the Challenger Circuit. Fearnley won the only previous meeting between the two in Rennes two weeks ago.
