Game, set and match for SCOOP & SPOON: for the first time ever – and on the occasion of the ATP 250 MercedesCup, held from 4 to 12 June in Stuttgart, featuring top-players such as Roger Federer, Philipp Kohlschreiber and Dominic Thiem – the Austrian digital agency presents its „Mercedes Cup Tennis App“.

Tommy Haas attended the event on Sunday when the app was launched. “This app offers a modern form of enterntainment, which will help to promote the tennis sport,” the 15-time ATP titlist told. The white label app will be employed for the first time at the MercedesCup in Stuttgart on Monday.
Content streams will be fed onto the app platform by SCOOP & SPOON and delivered to the users in real time. Thus, app users are not only able to experience the live stream via second screen mode, they can also create and customise their own seven-seconds-snippets, which they can then share on their own platforms. The users’ customized special effects are fed back to SCOOP & SPOON’s business analytics module, thus allowing brands to interactively engage with their target audience. The most original snippets with the most views also feature in the app’s very own “Hall of Fame”.
Especially intriguing is the fact that the ball boys and girls are now equipped with cameras, allowing for a completely new perspective on this well-known game. Within the context of exhibitions, even players will be apparelled with cameras. Underneath the referee’s chair, a 360° camera ensures breath-taking views on mobile phones and other appropriate virtual reality tools.
