BARCELONA, October 17, 2024
The CT Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona are set to host the first MAPFRE Spanish Pickleball Club Championship by Cervezas Victoria. The event, scheduled from November 1 to 3, will offer a total of €5,000 in prize money.
Following the success of the recent Spanish Championship held in Plaza España, Madrid, this event will determine the first national pickleball club champion in history. Registrations are already open, and the competition will feature two categories: +18 Open and +50 Open. The format includes an initial round-robin group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing.
Each team match will be decided by three doubles matches: one men’s doubles, one women’s doubles, and one mixed doubles.
Third Event of the National Circuit
The MAPFRE Spanish Club Championship by Cervezas Victoria is the third event in the inaugural RFET-MAPFRE National Pickleball Circuit, which began in June with the Spanish Open by Cervezas Victoria in Madrid. This inaugural edition consists of four events, all contributing points to the Spanish and global DUPR rankings.
The circuit is organized by B3 Sportainment in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET), which integrated pickleball into its structure last year.
