Rublev in Rotterdam
2025 will mark Andrey Rublev’s seventh appearance in Rotterdam. After reaching the quarterfinals in 2018 and 2020, he achieved his best result in 2021, when he clinched the title. That year, he defeated Marton Fucsovics in the final, having previously bested players like Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andy Murray. It was also the year the ABN AMRO Open was held without an audience. In 2022, Rublev lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Felix Auger-Aliassime. In 2023 and 2024, he was eliminated by Alex de Minaur, in the first round and quarterfinals, respectively.
Player Field
With six players from the world’s top 10, the announced lineup is already formidable. Previously confirmed participants include Jannik Sinner (World No. 1), Carlos Alcaraz (No. 3), Daniil Medvedev (No. 5), Alex de Minaur (No. 9), and Grigor Dimitrov (No. 10). Dutch players Tallon Griekspoor and Botic van de Zandschulp have also announced their participation in the 2025 ABN AMRO Open.
