Australian Open 2025 will host the inaugural AO Pickleball Slam from 24–26 January, transforming Court 3 into the centre of one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

A Grand Slam first, the AO Pickleball Slam comes with a spectacular $100,000 prize pool and promises to be a thrilling and inclusive celebration of a sport that’s capturing hearts across the globe.

Taking place during finals weekend, the AO Pickleball Slam will unite an international roster of players, from seasoned professionals to rising stars. Showcasing the fast-paced action and spirited camaraderie that defines the sport, the fun and engaging event promises to be a hit for fans of all ages.

The sport’s charm has extended beyond the court to capture the attention of celebrities and sporting legends alike, with fans including Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Tom Brady, Taylor Swift, and George and Amal Clooney.

With celebrity ambassadors, inclusive appeal, and focus on social interaction and fun, Pickleball continues to grow in popularity. Tennis Australia is leading the charge across the emerging racquet and paddle category, driving the growth of Pickleball, Padel, POP Tennis and Beach Tennis through a range of competitions, coaching and club initiatives. Tennis Australia will be the first to showcase Pickleball, Padel and POP Tennis within a Grand Slam tournament, providing both professional tournaments and patron play experiences.

Fans at Melbourne Park will have the chance to join the action themselves. Patrons have the opportunity to pick up a paddle and enjoy pickleball, padel and POP tennis.
