The World No. 287, who reached a career high ranking of World No. 14 in February 2022, earned his fourth ATP Challenger Tour career title in addition to his three tour-level crowns. Karatsev pocketed $14 200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The fourth edition of the Bangkok Open offered a total prize pool of $100,000 and was held at the Lawn Tennis Association Of Thailand in Nonthaburi, located just northwest of Bangkok. It is one of Thailand’s most vibrant and historic provinces. Known for its rich cultural heritage and tranquil riverside charm, Nonthaburi is home to numerous temples, bustling markets, and lush parks. The province is famous for its iconic Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat and Wat Sangkhathan, as well as the colorful Koh Kret island, a small community renowned for its Mon pottery and traditional way of life.
Nonthaburi also offers a more laid-back atmosphere compared to Bangkok, with peaceful neighborhoods and scenic views along the Chao Phraya River. Its lively markets, such as Nonthaburi Market and the night markets, offer a chance to sample delicious Thai street food and shop for local goods.
