Tom Paris from France emerged victorious at the 20th edition of the MLP-Cup, an ITF World Tennis Tour M25 event held on carpet courts in Nussloch, Germany. The 22-year-old Frenchman defeated No. 2 seed Oleg Prihodko from Ukraine, who ended the run of German teenager Justin Engel in the semis, 6-4, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.

The World No. 687 advanced to the championship match at the Zentrum Aktiver Prävention (ZAP) with wins over his compatriot Arthur Bouquier, Britons Millon Hurrion and Finn Bass as well as Robert Strombachs from Germany.

In front of about 400 spectators, Paris secured victory in the pair’s first meeting after one hour and 24 minutes.

Paris clinched his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second on carpet following his triumph on home soil in Sarreguemines in October 2023.
