POREC, March 16, 2025
Nerman Fatic from Bosnian-Herzegovina (ATP398) claimed his first title at the Istarska Rivijera and his first professional title on Croatian soil after convincingly defeating defending champion Sandro Kopp of Austria (ATP 357) with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory in Sunday’s final held in Porec.
For the 30-year-old from Sarajevo, this marks his second title of the season on the ITF World Tennis Tour and the ninth overall in his career. What he couldn’t achieve in 2019 in Opatija, when he lost in the final of an Istarska Rivijera series tournament, Fatic accomplished in commanding fashion in Porec.

On his way to the title, only Croatian representative Mili Poljicak managed to put up a serious challenge, taking the first set in their semi-final clash. However, Fatic lost just four more games in the following two sets, and in the final, he allowed the 24-year-old Austrian one game less, denying his opponent even a single break opportunity. Including the set he lost to Poljicak, Fatic dropped a total of just 23 games across his five matches.
For his victory at the Poreč Tennis Center Pical, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian earned 15 ATP Ranking points and a prize money of $2,160.
For his second final defeat of the year and the seventh in 12 title matches on the ITF World Tennis Tour, Kopp collected eight ATP Ranking points and $1,272 in prize money.
Next week, the second of three tournaments in the 53rd edition of the Istarska Rivijera will take place at the Eden Tennis Center in Rovinj.
