Emilio Nava is the champion of the Paraguay Open 2025 – Babolat. The 23-year-old US-American upset Thiago Monteiro, top seed of the ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event in Asuncion, 7-5, 6-3 in Sunday’s singles final.
Nava battled his way to the title match with wins in the bottom half of the draw over Argentine qualifier Lorenzo Joaquin Rodriguez, No. 7 seed Juan Pablo Varillas of Peru, fourth-seeded Chilean Tomas Barrios Vera and No. 6 seed Adolfo Daniel Vallejo from Paraguay.
The World No. 235 from California fired 11 aces in the final and broke Monteiro’s serve three times to seal victory in one hour and 29 minutes.

Nava claimed his third ATP Challenger Tour career title, his first of 2025. He earned $14,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The second edition of the Paraguay Open offered a total prize pool of $100,000 and was held at the Club Internacional de Tenis in Asuncion.
