The ATP Tour’s finest head to Madrid for the second clay-court ATP Masters 1000 of the season. The Mutua Madrid Open takes place from 23 April – 4 May.
Two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz arrives in Madrid in good form after claiming his first Monte-Carlo title and reaching the Barcelona final. The 21-year-old won back-to-back titles in the Spanish capital in 2022-23, and boasts a 15-2 record at this ATP Masters 1000.
Novak Djokovic aims to bounce back from his opening-round defeat to Alejandro Tabilo in Monte-Carlo. The 37-year-old is a three-time Madrid champion and is chasing his 100th tour-level trophy, with which he would join Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103) in the century club.
Harri Heliovaara/Henry Patten and Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic are the top two teams in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, each seeking a first clay-court trophy in 2025.
