17 players from Germany appeared in the singles main draw of the inaugural $10,000 Kamen Open but no local made it into the final, as Antoine Hoang from France and Christopher Heyman from Belgium squared off for the title on Sunday morning.

Heyman rallied from 2-5 down in the final set, winning 75% of his first service points. He capitalized on four of his five break point chances to prevail in two hours and 58 minutes. The world number 326 lifted his fourth Future trophy of the season, following three victories in Turkey. It was the seventh career title for Heyman, the second on German soil. He takes away $1,440 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points.

On Saturday, top-seeds Johannes Härteis and Hannes Wagner claimed their fifth team title on the ITF Pro Circuit, winning the doubles final 7-6, 2-6, 10-6 over the Australian combination of Bradley Mousley and Scott Puodziunas. The encounter had lasted one hour and 31 minutes.
