Stefano Travaglia is the champion of the 2026 Zadar Open. The No. 4 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 clay-court event benefited from the retirement of third-seeded Frenchman Arthur Gea in Sunday’s singles final.

Travaglia was leading 2-1 when Gea was forced to stop playing due to a right leg injury after only 15 minutes.

Travaglia advanced to the championship match with wins in the top half of the draw over home favourite Mili Poljicak, Henri Squire of Germany, fifth-seeded Slovakian Alex Molcan and No. 7 seed Ivan Dodig of Croatia.

The 34-year-old Italian captured his seventh ATP Challenger Tour career title, his first of the season. He earned €15,510 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.

The sixth edition of the Zadar Open offered a total prize pool of €97,640 and was hosted by the Tenis Klub Borik at the Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala in Zadar, a historic coastal city on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, known for its unique blend of ancient heritage and modern attractions. Founded over 3,000 years ago, Zadar features impressive Roman ruins, medieval churches, and charming stone streets within its old town.

One of its most famous landmarks is the Sea Organ, an innovative installation that creates music from the movement of the waves, alongside the nearby Sun Salutation, a solar-powered light display. With stunning Adriatic sunsets, vibrant cafés, and easy access to nearby islands and national parks, Zadar offers a perfect mix of culture, relaxation, and natural beauty.
