Nishesh Basavareddy is the champion of the 2026 Savannah Challenger. The No. 2 seed from the United States beat his 17-year-old compatriot Jack Kennedy 6-3, 6-0 in Sunday’s singles final.
Basavareddy advanced to the championship match with wins over US-American qualifier Andrew Johnson, Franco Roncadelli of Uruguay, eighth-seeded Ecuadorian Andres Andrade and Colombian veteran Daniel Elahi Galan.
The 20-year-old Newport Beach native won 81 per cent of his first-service points and broke Kennedy’s serve six times to succeed in 65 minutes.

By winning his third ATP Challenger Tour career title, his first of the season, Basavareddy earned $17,000 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The 16th edition of the Savannah Challenger offered a total prize pool of $107,000 and was hosted by The Landings Club in Georgia. The tournament marks the end of the US-American clay swing.
