Zizou Bergs spoke emotionally about his connection to Valencia during a video interview at the Copa Faulconbridge, revealing that the city has been part of his life since childhood.
“I love Valencia — I’ve been coming here since I was very young,” Bergs said. “When I saw the tournament on the schedule, my mom immediately wanted to come too because she absolutely loves Valencia. She’s incredibly loyal to the city.”
The interview, shared on social media, featured nostalgic photos of a young Bergs visiting the Club de Tenis Valencia with his mother, including images taken in front of the club entrance more than a decade ago alongside present-day shots from the same location.
“We used to take photos right in front of the entrance, and we came here a few times when I was just a little kid,” he explained. “Ever since then, this place has always meant something to me.”
