Tennis Canada Media Release, May 19, 2026
On Tuesday, Tennis Canada confirmed its full 2026 National Event Calendar, with 84 tournaments set to take place across the country this year. This follows the announcement in February of the schedule of events from January through to July. Highlights of the 2026 season include the return of the Odlum Brown VanOpen – Canada’s second largest tournament after the National Bank Open presented by Rogers (NBO) – and the Eastern and Western Canadian Indoor Masters Championships. The schedule will also feature a new ATP Challenger 125 in Quebec City, Quebec – the Québec National Bank Challenger presented by Cromwell – bringing the total to five ATP Challenger-level tournaments in Canada for the first time since 2022. Through a partnership with Bolt6, electronic line-calling (ELC) technology will be implemented at all five events.
“The 2026 calendar features a wide range of professional, junior, masters, wheelchair, and beach tennis events, reinforcing Canada’s position as a leading host nation on the international circuit,” said Ryan Borczon, Senior Director of Professional and National Events at Tennis Canada. “With three more professional events than in 2025, two additional masters tournaments, and a record number of beach tennis competitions, we are continuing to create more opportunities for Canadians to compete at all levels of the game and further strengthening the competitive pathway across the country.”
