From 24 to 31 May 2026, Vicenza will once again become one of the focal points of international tennis as Tennis Palladio 98 hosts the 19th edition of the Internazionali di Tennis – Città di Vicenza. This year’s tournament marks the event’s 11th appearance on the ATP Challenger Tour and was officially presented at Palazzo Trissino by Councillor for Sport Leone Zilio, FITP Vice President Gianni Milan and Tournament Director Enrico Bettini.

“We are delighted to be here today to announce, once again this year, the new edition of such an important event on the Veneto and Italian tennis scene,” said Councillor Zilio. “As we all know, tennis in our country is experiencing a golden age, and the popularity of this sport continues to grow, especially among young people and the very young. As a Municipality, we are therefore pleased to welcome the many athletes, as well as the fans, who will take part in the Internazionali di Tennis – Città di Vicenza. We are certain that, this year too, the tournament will be a great success and a magnificent sporting celebration.”

We are very satisfied with the longevity of this event, which every year brings some of the most talented players on the circuit to Vicenza, also thanks to the support of the Federation, which is committed to showcasing the most promising young players and giving them the opportunity to test themselves against international competition. In this way, the Internazionali will continue to attract large crowds and to enhance the profile of a historic club such as ours, active in the heart of the city. Finally, I would like to thank the many companies that have chosen to associate their image with our Challenger: not only for the visibility it guarantees in the media and among the public, but also — and above all — for the values that tennis is able to convey: passion, commitment, perseverance and determination.”

Over the years, the event has established itself as a key fixture for Italian and international tennis, capable of welcoming and showcasing some of the brightest talents on the circuit. The clay courts of Contrà della Piarda have hosted players who are now recognised at the highest level, including Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Berrettini, Flavio Cobolli, Lorenzo Sonego, Andrea Vavassori, Matteo Arnaldi and captain Filippo Volandri. Almost all the players who have contributed to Italy’s recent Davis Cup successes have competed in the tournament, an important stage in a journey that has accompanied them towards the elite of world tennis. Alongside them, the tournament’s records include many other prestigious names, much loved by the public: Marin Cilic, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Andreas Seppi, Luciano Darderi, Andrea Pellegrino, Paolo Lorenzi — now Director of the Internazionali d’Italia — Luca Nardi, Filip Krajinovic, Márton Fucsovics and Hugo Dellien.

Thanks to the support of FL Service, the many sponsors and local partners, and the collaboration with the Municipality of Vicenza and the FITP – Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, the 2026 edition will offer prize money of USD 107,000 and will be the only Challenger tournament scheduled in Veneto.

This is a particularly valuable achievement, made even more significant by the decision — confirmed again this year — to maintain free entry throughout the tournament week. With a well-established tradition, an identity deeply rooted in Vicenza and an increasingly marked international vocation, the Internazionali di Tennis – Città di Vicenza are therefore preparing to write a new chapter in their history, confirming their place among the most eagerly awaited events on the national tennis calendar.
