PARIS/STARNBERG, June 7, 2026
Vincent Reisach and Jamie Mackenzie have delivered another major milestone for German junior tennis at the French Open in Paris. The duo captured the Roland Garros junior doubles title with a commanding 6-1, 6-4 victory over the French pair Mathys Domenc and Daniel Jade in the final.
The 18-year-old Mackenzie, coached by Gero Kretschmer and based in Düsseldorf, continues his impressive rise and currently sits at No. 3 in the junior world rankings after a standout season. His partner, 17-year-old Reisach, is ranked No. 43 in the junior standings.
Throughout the event, the pair was supported by Philipp Petzschner, who himself was part of the last German doubles team to win in Paris. In 2002, Petzschner and Markus Bayer secured what remains the only previous all-German junior doubles title at Roland Garros.
Germany had already made history in Paris last year, when Niels McDonald and Max Schoenhaus faced each other in the all-German final of the junior singles competition for the first time. In addition, Eva Bennemann and Sonja Zhenikhova claimed the junior doubles crown, adding another Grand Slam title to Germany’s growing junior success story.
“This title is further proof that the continuous development of our youth program is paying off,” said DTB board member Veronika Rücker. “The successes of recent years confirm the outstanding work of our coaches, who are doing everything to help our talents reach the international top level in the long term. Vincent and Jamie, with Jamie also reaching the singles quarterfinals, showed an outstanding performance in Paris and can be very proud of this milestone.”
Coach Philipp Petzschner also praised his players: “Vincent and Jamie showed an exceptionally high level throughout the entire tournament. They improved from round to round, played with courage in the decisive moments, and functioned excellently as a team. Winning a Grand Slam title is something very special. Achieving it together as a German doubles team makes this success even more meaningful.”
