LTA Media Release, June 16, 2026
The All-England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has revealed the first wildcards to be awarded for entry into the 2026 edition of The Championships, Wimbledon, with Brits among those to receive an invitation from tournament organisers into singles main draw and qualifying, doubles, and wheelchair events.
After strong performances in 2025 from British players, the class of 2026 will be hoping to replicate that success. Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter, Francesca Jones, Cam Norrie, Jack Draper and Jan Choinski have all already secured direct entry to the singles competitions, and we now know the names of the first players to join them via wildcards after the decisions were made by the AELTC.
In the men’s singles, Arthur Fery, Toby Samuel, Jack Pinnington Jones and Jacob Fearnley have been awarded wildcards for the main draw. Fery and Pinnington Jones achieved their first Grand Slam main draw wins last summer and have enjoyed a strong 12 months since, including a maiden ATP Challenger title for Pinnington Jones, and qualifying for the main draw of the Australian Open for Fery, reaching round two.
2023 Wimbledon Boys’ Singles champion Henry Searle, Oliver Tarvet, and Johannus Monday have all been awarded wildcards for the men’s singles qualifying draw. In the doubles, four all-British men’s pairs will be among those to feature having been awarded wildcards. They are Lexus Birmingham Open champions Ben Jones and Joshua Paris, Lexus Ilkley Open winners David Stevenson and Marcus Willis, former British No.1 Dan Evans and Henry Searle, and Johannus Monday and Harry Wendelken.
On the women’s side, six Brits have been awarded wildcards into the singles main draw. Harriet Dart, Alicia Dudeney, Katie Swan Mika Stojsavljevic, Mimi Xu, and Hannah Klugman will join Raducanu, Boulter and Jones in the draw. The Brits have enjoyed strong seasons so far, including back-to-back titles for Katie Swan in Japan and four ITF singles titles for Alicia Dudeney.
Brits have also received wildcards into the wheelchair competitions at this summer’s tournament. The players to receive wildcards are Ben Bartram and Andrew Penney in the men’s, Lucy Shuker in the women’s (with one further wildcard to be confirmed), and Greg Slade in the quad division.
The current list of British main draw entries and wild cards, along with their LTA support, is below, with more than 50 British players set to feature later this summer. Information is available on the LTA’s performance pathway pages about the different levels of support British players receive.
