The Copa Internacional de Tenis ATP Challenger in Piracicaba enters its third day on Tuesday at the clay courts of Clube Cristovao Colombo, with a packed schedule featuring some of Brazil’s most promising talents and established professionals.

The ATP Challenger 50 event offers a prize purse of $63,000 and awards 50 ATP Ranking points to the champion. The tournament runs through Sunday, with free admission available to fans who register online.

Brazilian players will once again be in the spotlight, with eleven home favorites scheduled to compete throughout the day. Leading the way is third seed Thiago Seyboth Wild, the former world No. 58, who begins his campaign against wildcard Luis Felipe Miguel.

Miguel, the older brother of reigning Roland Garros boys’ champion and current junior world No. 1 Guto Miguel, currently plays collegiate tennis for Florida State University in the United States. Like many Brazilian players studying abroad, he is using his summer break to compete on home soil alongside family and friends.

The match between Wild and Miguel is scheduled as the final contest on Centre Court and will not begin before 6:30 p.m.

“First matches are always difficult, and every match is tough at this level. But I’ve been training well, I’m feeling confident, and I hope to play a good match tomorrow,” said Seyboth Wild ahead of his opening-round encounter.

Earlier on Centre Court, another wildcard, Enzo Kohlmann, will face second seed Juan La Serna in a challenging first-round matchup.

Meanwhile, action was already underway on Monday evening. Matheus Pucinelli secured his place in the second round after battling back from a set down to defeat fifth seed Luciano Ambrogi of Argentina 6-7(3), 6-3, 6-1. Fellow Brazilian Eduardo Ribeiro was also in action against Argentina’s Hernan Casanova as play continued into the night.
