The main draw of the Ferrero & Forty Challenger is already underway in Villena, Spain, bringing together two key elements of the tournament’s identity: experienced players who have competed at the highest level and a new generation of young talents eager to make their mark on the world stage.

Among the leading names is Dino Prizmic. The 21-year-old Croatian, seeded at the tournament and already established inside the Top 100, arrives at the Ferrero Tennis Academy after recording two of the biggest wins of his career this season. Prizmic defeated Ben Shelton, then world No. 6, in Madrid before producing another major upset against Novak Djokovic in Rome. Those results have firmly established him as one of the young players to watch on the international circuit.

The field also includes experienced campaigners such as Damir Dzumhur and Laslo Djere. Spain’s Pedro Martinez, who reached a career-high ranking of world No. 36, will make his first appearance of the tournament on Tuesday.

The Spanish contingent is particularly strong, with eight home players in the main draw, several of them young talents at important stages of their careers. Maxi Carrascosa, a player from the Ferrero Tennis Academy, is already in action, while Daniel Rincon and Alejo Sanchez are set to contest one of the first all-Spanish encounters of the tournament.

Pablo Llamas is another of the Spanish players in the spotlight. Present at the tournament’s official presentation, he continues his quest to break into the Top 100 and will be looking to make the most of the opportunity on home soil.
