Jan-Lennard Struff claims the Ethias Trophy, winning the €106,500 ATP Challenger event in Mons on Sunday afternoon. The sixth seed from Germany cruised past Frenchman Vincent Millot in the final, which lasted only 48 minutes. It is tied for the fastest completed title match of the year with the Challenger in Granby, when Frances Tiafoe defeated Marcelo Arevalo.

In Mons, Struff was the dominant player throughout the encounter, firing seven aces and breaking serve five times. The 26-year-old from Warstein saved the only break point he faced to seal a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

Struff claimed his second title of the season, following his triumph in Alphen aan den Rijn last month. His his fifth Challenger career title gets him €16,300 in prize money as well as 125 ATP ranking points.

Earlier the day, Austrians Julian Knowle and Jürgen Melzer captured the doubles title, winning 7-6, 7-6 over Sander Arends and Wesley Koolhof from the Netherlands. The encounter lasted one hour and 34 minutes. It was the first team title for Knowle and Melzer since Tokyo 2009.
