Nine days of tennis at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center came to a conclusion on Sunday as third seeded and ranked world number 117 going into the tournament Frances Tiafoe of the United States took home the singles crown owith a 6-4, 6-2 victory over fellow US-American Noah Rubin.

Tiafoe, 18, took home his second $100,000 title as he adds the inaugural Stockton ATP Challenger title to a title on August 7th of this year at the Challenger Banque Nationale De Granby in Granby, Canada. With this win, Tiafoe will break into the top 100 world rankings.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling. It’s something you always dream for and work towards to achieve,” said Tiafoe. “There are a couple more tournaments I want to plat in the year to sustain it and I am happy to finally be inside (the top 100).” Tiafoe will continue his quest for consecutive titles at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery Fairfield Challenger on Tuesday as the top seeded player in the main draw in Fairfield, California.

In the doubles final, the last minute pairing of Sam Groth and Brian Baker was a good choice as they were crowned champions. The two defeated Australians Matt Reid and John Patrick Smith, who were in competition to win back to back doubles championships after winning in Tiburon a week ago. Groth and Baker will not be teaming up in Fairfield as Groth is headed to the Monterrey Open Challenger in Monterrey, Mexico, while Baker is headed to Fairfield.
