Top seed Michael Linzer and Facundo Arguello will compete in Sunday’s final of the $15,000 Orlando Professional Tennis Series, held at the new USTA National Campus at Lake Nona in Orlando.

The World No. 306 from Austria defeated fourth favourite Christian Lindell of Sweden 6-1, 6-4 on Saturday. Linzer didn’t face a single break point, converting three of his own to advance to his first final of the season. The 27-year-old Erlach native has won 18 ITF Pro Circuit singles titles but has never lifted a singles trophy in the United States.

Arguello emerged victorious from the all-Argentine-affair with teenager Genaro Alberto Olivieri, winning 6-2, 6-3. The 24-year-old from Córdoba won 66 per cent of his first service points and broke serve five times to finish the encounter in one hour and 21 minutes.

Arguello is ranked No. 555 and holds 10 ITF Pro Circuit singles titles. He peaked at No. 104 in the world in singles in April 2014 and competed in the main draw of the French Open in 2014 and 2015. At 2015 Roland Garros, he faced Andy Murray in the first round after qualifying for the main draw.

In the only previous meeting between the two finalists, Arguello won 6-4, 7-5 in the opening round of the 2012 Genova Challenger.
