The quarterfinals are set at the €64,000 NECKARCUP in Heilbronn. In the match of the day on Thursday, Andrej Martin booked his spot in the stage of the final eight after defeating #NextGenATP star Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The seventh seed from Slovakia withstood eight aces, hitting two of his own and broke serve five times to prevail in one hour and 51 minutes.

Martin will next take on Lorenzo Giustino, who ended the winning streak of German qualifier Dominik Koepfer in the night session. The 25-year-old from Italy won 7-6, 1-6, 6-1 in two hours and four minutes.
Another in-form-Italian in person of Marco Cecchinato also advanced to the quarterfinals. The World No. 105, who clinched the ATP Challenger title in Rome last weekend, beat US-American Mitchell Krueger 6-3, 6-2. The encounter lasted one hour and 15 minutes.
Cecchinato will face Guido Pella next. The sixth seed from Argentina eased past Laslo Djere of Serbia, winning 6-1, 6-0. Pella lost his serve only once and capitalized on seven of his own 12 break point opportunities to secure victory in 62 minutes.
