“It was physically a tough match. I liked to have played a little more aggressively, but I was nervous and did not start in the best way. He has a tricky game but I think I was able to stay mentally strong and that was the most important thing,” Daniel was pleased afterwards.
Otte won 75 per cent of his first service points against Attila Balazs from Hungary to secure a 7-6, 6-2 victory in one hour and 12 minutes.
The finalists will meet for the first time. Otte eyes clinching his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour. Daniel will try to win his sixth Challenger career crown, his second of the season, following his triumph in Buenos Aires in March.
Ruan Roelofse from South Africa and Christopher Rungkat captured their maiden team title on the ATP Challenger Tour, winning the doubles final 7-6, 6-1 over the all-Portugues-combination of Fred Gil and Goncalo Oliveira. The encounter lasted one hour and 11 minutes.
