OBERHACHING, October 6, 2017
The Bavarian Tennis Federation (BTV) announced on Friday the official entry list of the Daikin Open, held from 8 to 15 October 2017 at the Tennis Base in Oberhaching.
The $15,000 ITF Futures event will be the start into a two-week indoor swing in Bavaria followed by the ATP Challenger Wolffkran Open in Ismaning.
The Daikin Open line-up will be led by local favourite Daniel Masur. The 22-year-old German clinched five ITF Futures titles in his career and is currently ranked at World No. 297.
“It is really great to play a tournament at home,” Masur told. “To have two consecutive tournaments in the greater area of Munich is extremely valuable for the local players. The home advantage should not be underestimated. I am really looking forward to the tournaments in Oberhaching and Ismaning.”
Masur will be joined by one of Germany’s biggest tennis talents Rudolf Molleker. The 16-year-old got a direct entry into the ITF event in Oberhaching and was granted a wild card into the main draw of the ATP Challenger event in Ismaning.
