Carlos Boluda-Purkiss of Spain claimed last weekend’s title of the $15,000 Jerba Open, held on hard courts at the Hotel Jerba Sun Club. The 25-year-old from Alicante rallied past Roberto Marcora of Italy 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 in Sunday’s singles final.

Boluda-Purkiss capitalized on three of his six break point opportunities to prevail after two hours and 34 minutes. He lifted his seventh ITF Futures career title and earned $2,160 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points.

The week before, Frenchman Laurent Lokoli captured the first Jerba Open 2018 crown. The 23-year-old from Corsica upset top seed and compatriot Geoffrey Blancaneaux 6-2, 6-1 in Monday’s final to celebrate his sixth triumph on the ITF Pro Circuit.

The series will stay in Djerba with four more events until the middle of March.
