Haas Might Not Retire From Professional Tennis

On Thursday the management of Tommy Haas published an official statement that says he could propably return to the ATP World Tour to play doubles. It points out that the former World No. 2 has never officially announced the end of his successful tennis career. Around one week ago, an interview with Haas in the Californian newspaper “Desert Sun” caused confusion in the media and tennis scene

However, Haas, who celebrates his 40th birthday on April 3, plans to participate in some tennis exhibitions in spring/summer, and from April he also wants to start playing on the US-American Champions Tour.

Right now, Haas’ focus is on being the tournament director of the biggest tournament on the ATP World Tour, the BNP Paribas Open Masters 1000 in Indian Wells.
