With Guido Andreozzi and Daniel Gimeno-Traver two unseeded players will compete in Sunday’s singles final of the $75,000 Tunis Open. Andreozzi rallied past Joao Domingues of Portugal 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 on Saturday. The 26-year-old capitalized on six of his 24 break point chances to secure victory in three hours and eight minutes.

Later in the afternoon, Gimeno-Traver knocked off fifth favourite Thomas Fabbiano of Italy 6-1, 6-4. The 32-year-old Spanish qualifier dominated the one hour and nine minutes-encounter, winning 56 per cent of the total points played to advance to his first ATP Challenger final since he finished runner-up in Rome in September last year.

Andreozzi won the only previous meeting between the two in the quarterfinals of the Vicenza Challenger 2016. The World No. 161 could lift his second ATP Challenger trophy of the season following his triumph in Punta del Este. Gimeno-Traver eyes his first Challenger crown since 2015.

Elsewhere, Denis Molchanov from Ukraine and Igor Zelenay of Slovakia clinched the doubles title. The duo defeated Frenchman Jonathan Eysseric and Joe Salisbury of Great Britain. The final lasted one hour and 17 minutes.
