Daniel Brands clinched his second consecutive $15,000 Djerba Open title. The top seed from Germany defeated the tournament’s No. 2 Baptiste Crepatte of France 7-6, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final on the hard courts of the Hotel Jerba Sun Club.

Brands, who only dropped one set en route to the title, struck nine aces and converted three of his five break point opportunities to seal victory after one hour and 30 minutes.

It is the sixth ITF Pro Circuit title for the 30-year-old German, who also prevailed last week here by beating Nicolas Mateo Martinez of Argentina. Brands earns $1,944 in prize money as well as 18 ATP Ranking points.

“I am happy to have won this week too. I played my best to keep my title as the winner,” Brands was happy afterwards.
