Two Dutchmen will square off Monday for a spot in the main draw of the €85,000 NECKARCUP in Heilbronn. Miliaan Niesten knocked off top seed Hernan Casanova of Argentina 6-1, 7-5 in the second round of the qualifying on Sunday.
The World No. 655 is ranked 399 spots below his opponent but broke serve seven times to seal victory in one hour and 22 minutes.
Meanwhile on Center Court, Igor Sijsling eased past Christoph Negritu of Germany 6-4, 6-0. The 30-year-old from Amsterdam won 59 per cent of the total points played to advance in one hour and 14 minutes.
Main draw action kicks off on Monday when No. 4 seed and local favourite Yannick Hanfmann is taking on #NextGenATP Aussie Marc Polmans. Fifth seed Jurgen Zopp of Estonia will face Mats Moraing from Germany.
