French veteran Richard Gasquet wins the Libéma Open title with a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over compatriot Jeremy Chardy in s’Hertogenbosch on Sunday. The No. 2 seed levels his record in ATP World Tour Finals to 15-15 by winning his first title since triumphing at the European Open Antwerp in 2016.
Gasquet sent down six aces and broke his opponent’s serve three times to prevail in one hour and 30 minutes.

“It is great to win a title again,” said Gasquet. “It [has been] two years that I didn’t win. It is my 15th [title], so it is unusual. It is very tough to win on the ATP World Tour… I am very happy to win here, it is a great tournament and I am very proud about [winning] it.”
Gasquet is projected to rise to World No. 25 in the ATP Rankings on Monday, his highest position since 11 June last year. He will receive 250 ATP Ranking points and collect €109,310 for lifting the trophy.
Inglot/Skugor win doubles title
Briton Dominic Inglot and Franko Skugor of Croatia clinched the doubles title beating South African Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus of New Zealand 7-6(3), 7-5. Saturday’s encouner lasted one hour and 26 minutes.
“It was a great, we both played unbelievably,” said Inglot after winning their second team title. “The weather has been amazing this week and the courts have been in great shape so we are really happy.”
