Facundo Bagnis is the winner of the inaugural Internazionali Tennis Città L’Aquila. The 28-year-old Argentine rallied past the No. 2 seed of the €43,000 ATP Challenger clay-court event, Paolo Lorenzi of Italy, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
In front of about 1,000 spectators, Bagnis won 52 per cent of the total points played to prevail in two hours and 13 minutes. The Buenos Aires resident hoisted his 12th ATP Challenger trophy and earns €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP ranking points.

Italians Filippo Baldi and Andrea Pellegrino took the doubles crowns. The pair fought past Pedro Martínez Portero of Spain and Mark Vervoort fromt the Netherlands in Saturday’s doubles final 4-6, 6-3, 10-5. The match lasted one hour and 24 minutes.
