The 2019 New York Open is set to feature Kevin Anderson, Sam Querrey, and Bob and Mike Bryan once again. More information on player commitments and tournament details will be announced in the coming months. Previous champions include legends Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, John McEnroe, Andy Roddick, Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Ryan Harrison, and most recently, Kevin Anderson.

“GF Sports and BSE Global are ready to bring the black courts back to New York and NYCB LIVE for the 2019 New York Open with the goal of making it bigger and better,” said Tournament Director and GF Sports Executive Vice President, Josh Ripple“We already have the commitment of the world’s No. 5 ranked Wimbledon Finalist, and our defending champion, Kevin Anderson. With further advanced nods from our ‘18 finalist Sam Querrey, and current Wimbledon doubles champion Mike Bryan as well as his brother Bob Bryan, we are confident that we will have an exceptional player product for the New York fans.”

“Winning the inaugural New York Open was one of the great moments of this 2018 season, and I am excited to announce that I will officially return to defend my title in 2019,” said Kevin Anderson. “We truly enjoyed playing at NYCB LIVE and look forward to being back on the black courts in February.”

The New York Tennis Expo on February 9 is a free lead-in event to the New York Open where attendees will have a first-hand look at the matchups, and even take part in selecting the players’ names. There will be professional players on hand to sign autographs, and a viewing area where fans can to watch them practice.
