Due to bad weather only one quarterfinal match of the Torneo Città di Como could be finished on Friday. Matteo Donati won the all-Italian encounter against Filippo Baldi. The 23-year-old from Alessandria rallied from a set down to seal a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory.

Donati broke his opponent three times and won 51 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 28 minutes. He awaits the winner of the match between Salvatore Caruso of Italy and Argentine Facundo Arguello.

Christian Garin of Chile is facing No. 5 seed Juan Ignacio Londero from Argentina. The match between top seed Martin Klizan and Viktor Galovic of Croatia has to be finished with the Slovakian trailing 4-5 in the opening set.
