Yasutaka Uchiyama is the champion of the Zhangjiagang International Challenger in China, claiming his third title on the ATP Challenger Tour. The 26-year-old from Japan upsets top seed Jason Jung of Chinese Taipei 6-2, 6-2 in Sunday’s final of the $50,000 hard-court event.
Uchiyama didn’t face a break point, capitalizing on four of his own six chances to seal victory in one hour and seven minutes. The World No. 271 beat Slovenian Blaz Kavcic, compatriot Hiroki Moriya, Uladzimir Ignatik of Belarus and #NextGenATP Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic en-route to the final. Uchiyama collects $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP-Ranking points.
