Marcel Granollers of Spain advanced to the singles final of the $100,000 Wells Fargo Tiburon Challenger after besting US-American Noah Rubin in two straight sets on Saturday.

The No. 1 seed saved four of the five break points he faced, converting five of his own to secure a 6-2, 6-2 victory in one hour and 13 minutes.

James Duckworth of Australia fought hard in an intense back and forth with Michael Mmoh from the United States, but Mmoh prevailed after two hours and two minutes and will face Granollers in Sunday’s match for the championship.

In doubles, Spaniards Gerard Granollers and Pedro Martinez will face Hans Hach Verdugo of Australia and Luke Saville from Australia, putting the Granollers brothers in both final matches.
