OBERHACHING, September 30, 2018

The ITF Pro Circuit returns to the Tennis Base Oberhaching for the fourth edition of the DAIKIN Open held from 30 September to 7 October 2018. The $15,000 ITF Futures event marks the start into a two-week indoor swing in Bavaria followed by the ATP Challenger Wolffkran Open in Ismaning.

The DAIKIN Open line-up will be led by local favourite Louis Wessels, who was awarded a wild card. The 20-year-old German is currently ranked on a career high World No. 355 and has already clinched three ITF Futures titles this year.

“We want to give young German players the opportunity to compete at international level being a springboard to major tournaments,” says tournament director Christoph Poehlmann. “This is also the basic idea behind the German Masters Series, which includes the DAIKIN Open. This tournament series offers young talents with its smaller tournaments a way into the world class,” added Poehlmann.
