Four players ranked inside the top 100 will highlight the main draw of the Challenger Eckental. The year’s final ATP Challenger event held in Germany with a total prize money of €43,000 will be led by World No. 77 Lukas Lacko. The 30-year-old from Slovakia, who lifted one trophy in Glasgow this season, will face Italian veteran Simone Bolelli in the opening round.
Polish young gun Hubert Hurkacz will be the tournament’s second seed. The 21-year-old clinched his maiden Challenger crown this season on home soil in Poznan and will start his title bid at the International German Indoor Championships against Italy’s Matteo Donati.
Third favourite Guillermo Garcia-López of Spain will face Frenchman Quentin Halys and the tournament’s No. 4 Evgeny Donskoy of Russia awaits a qualifier in the first round.
A strong contingent of German players is led by Yannick Maden. The No. 5 seed will be joined by Matthias Bachinger, Daniel Brands, Mats Moraing and Oscar Otte, as well as wild card entries Rudolf Molleker, Kevin Krawietz, Daniel Masur and Louis Weßels.
