The Wilhelmshöhe Open in Kassel will remain part of the German Masters Series presented by Wilson. The 22nd edition of the clay-court event will be held at the Kasseler Tennisclub Bad Wilhelmshöhe from 15 to 21 July 2019.
The tournament will belong to the new-established ITF World Tennis Tour, offering a total prize money of $25,000 plus Hospitality. The winner will collect 5 ATP-Ranking points as well as 225 ITF-World-Ranking points. 3 ATP-Rankings points and 135 ITF-World-Ranking points will be taken away by the runner-up.
“We think that we are in a good position as Germany’s biggest ITF tournament,” tournament director Dr. Eberhard Engelmann is pleased with the reform.
The qualification of the tournament will start on Monday with only 24 players instead of 64. A decisive third set will be played in a match tie-break.
