The concert will feature Jon StevensThe Black SorrowsMental As Anything and Reece Mastin on the AO Live Stage on Sunday 13 January.

“Our partnership with Beyond Blue is incredibly important for us at Tennis Australia, and we’re hoping this concert will raise awareness for the amazing work they do,” Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said.

“The impressive line-up of Aussie music acts Jon Stevens,  The Black Sorrows, Mental As Anything and Reece Mastin is the perfect way to kick-off 15 days of music at the AO Live Stage. We encourage Melburnians to bring the family and show their support for Beyond Blue,” Tiley continued.

Tennis Australia and Beyond Blue have partnered to help spread the message about the importance of taking care of your mental wellbeing on and off the court.

“This is a significant relationship for Beyond Blue,” Beyond Blue CEO Georgie Harman said.

“We value Tennis Australia’s support in spreading the word about the benefits of positive mental health and wellbeing.

“By working together, we can create a culture that supports every Australian to achieve their best possible mental health,” Ms Harman said.

Former Noiseworks lead singer Jon Stevens first came to the Australian Open back in 1988, the first year the Open was at the site that is now known as Melbourne Park.

“Steffi Graf came to a Noiseworks show back in 1988 at Festival Hall in Melbourne, she loved the band and came backstage and invited us to the final the next day,” he said.

“Having never been to a professional tennis match before we all fell in love with Steffi and the excitement of the Australian Open.”
