HALLE, March 8, 2019

German singer Namika has joined the line-up for the side event at this year’s Gerry Weber Open in Halle/Westphalia. The 27th edition of the ATP 500 grass-court event will be held from 17 to 23 June 2019 featuring action on- and off-the courts. Namika will be live on stage on Tuesday, 21 June 2019.

Namika grew up in Frankfurt. Her grandparents are from the Moroccan coastal city of Nador. In 2015, the 27-year-old released her debut album, Nador, which includes her first single, “Lieblingsmensch”. By the end of July 2015 the album had reached number 13 in the German album charts. The single “Lieblingsmensch” debuted at number 27 in the German single charts and climbed to number one after eight weeks.
