HEILBRONN, April 24, 2019

Organizers of the NECKARCUP released on Tuesday evening the entry list of this year’s sixth edition of the ATP Challenger 100 event in Heilbronn. The tournament with a total prize money €92,040 will be led by World No. 92 Hugo Dellien from Bolivia.

The 25-year-old clinched four ATP Challenger career titles, one of them in Santiago de Chile earlier this season. Dellien also knows how to play on German soil, finishing runner-up to Juan-Ignacio Londero at the Marburg Open in August last year.

Dellien will be joined by fellow top 100-players Jiri Vesely from the Czech Republic, who reached the final of the NECKARCUP in 2018 and in-form Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan, who has already lifted three ATP Challenger trophies this season.

Defending champion Rudolf Molleker leads a strong contingent of German players into the clay-court event. Daniel Brands, Dustin Brown, Domink Koepfer, Maximilian Marterer, Yannick Hanfmann and Oscar Otte will also try to delight their home crowd.

“We have a cut-off at World No. 196,  far better than the other Challenger tournaments this year. Some of the players, who entered the tournament even had a much better ranking earlier in the year,” NECKARCUP tournament director Metehan Cebeci commented in a press release. “Tennys Sandgren from the United States was ranked 41st in January, Maximilian Marterer in February at 70 and Ilya Ivashka at 80.”

The NECKARCUP will be held at the TC Heilbronn Trappensee E.V. 1892 from 13 to 19 May 2019. For more information and tickets, please visit the tournament’s official website.
