STARNBERG, April 29, 2019

Reigning Next Gen ATP Finals champion Stefanos Tsitsipas will look to raise his second trophy of 2019 at the Millennium Estoril Open. The Greek star reached the semi-finals last year in his maiden appearance in Portugal and looks to do even better this year at the ATP 250 event.

The champion and runner-up at this year’s Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, Fabio Fognini and Dusan Lajovic, hold the second seed and fifth seed, respectively. Gael Monfils of France is the third seed and David Goffin of Belgium is the fourth seed.

#NextGenATP stars Alex de Minaur and Frances Tiafoe will each pursue a second ATP Tour title. De Minaur is the sixth seed and Tiafoe, last year’s runner-up, returns as the eighth seed. Seventh seed and 2017 champion Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain rounds out the seeds and defending champion Joao Sousa of Portugal will try to retain his crown.

Zverev headlines Munich field

World No. 3 and two-time defending champion Alexander Zverev of Germany seeks to thrill the home crowd once again at the BMW Open by FWU. The top seed holds a 12-3 record in Munich.

Zverev is one of six players inside the Top 25 of the ATP Rankings to feature in the draw. Karen Khachanov of Russia is the second seed, Marco Cecchinato of Italy takes the third seed and Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain holds the fourth seed.

2017 runner-up Guido Pella of Argentina returns as the seventh seed. Three-time Munich champion and local favourite Philipp Kohlschreiber also headlines with 2014 winner Martin Klizan of Slovakia. Hungarian Open champion Matteo Berrettini of Italy rounds out the field.
