Alessandro Giannessi clinched his first title of the season. The No. 9 seed won the €46,600 Internazioanli Di Tennis – Citta Di Vicenza held on clay court at the Tennis Palladio 98. Giannessi emerged victorious from Sunday’s all-Italian final with No. 8 seed Filippo Baldi, winning 7-5, 6-2.
The World No. 164 from La Spezia saved 11 of the 13 break points he faced, capitalizing on five of his own 11 chances to prevail after one hour and 52 minutes.

Giannessi advanced to the title match with wins over compatriots Federico Gaio and Gianluca Mager, as well as Adrian Menendez-Maceiras of Spain and Australia’s Marc Polmans.
By lifting his third ATP Challenger trophy, he takes away from the Veneto region in northeastern Italy €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP-Ranking points. Giannessi previously won the titles in Szczecin, Poland in 2016 and Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina last year.
On Saturday, Goncalo Oliveira of Portugal and Andrei Vasilevski from Belarus took the doubles title. The top seeds defeated the all-Brazilian combination of Fabricio Neis and Fernando Romboli 6-3, 6-4. The encounter lasted one hour and 10 minutes.
