Tommy Robredo has become the oldest winner of 2019 and sixth-oldest in the history of the ATP Challenger Tour, taking the title at the 25th edition of the Poznan Open. At the age of 37 years and one month, the Spaniard rallied past German teenager Rudolf Molleker, winning 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final at the Park Tenisowy Olimpia.

Robredo withstood 12 aces, breaking his young opponent’s serve five times to secure victory in two hours and nine minutes.

By lifting his sixth Challenger trophy, his first title of the season, Robredo collects €9,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP-Ranking points.

On Saturday, Andrea Vavassori of Italy and Spaniard David Vega Hernandez took the doubles title. The No. 3 seeds fought past Pedro Martinez of Spain and Dutchman Mark Vervoort 6-4, 6-7(4), 10-6. The encounter lasted one hour and 56 minutes.
