HAMBURG, June 13, 2019

The entry list for the Hamburg European Open has been revealed. The ATP Tour clay-court event will take place between July 22-28, with Dominic Thiem of Austria and Italy’s Fabio Fognini leading an interesting field of players that will fight for the title as well as 500 ATP-Ranking points.

The two top-10 stars will be joined by defending champion Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia and World No. 27 Laslo Djere of Serbia. As in recent years, a strong contingent of players from South America will come to the Rothenbaum tournament. Cristian Garin of Chile, who captured his second ATP crown at the BMW Open in Munich earlier this season, 2016 runner-up Pablo Cuevas from Uruguay and two-time Hamburg winner Leonardo Mayer from Argentina will compete in the 32-man draw.

Philipp Kohlschreiber and Jan-Lennard Struff will represent the local favourites. Both are seeking their first title in Hamburg.
